Node Tier Hierarchy
Overview
The Noderr Protocol operates on a four-tier node network, where each tier serves specific functions and earns rewards based on performance and responsibility level. This hierarchical structure ensures network efficiency, security, and scalability.
Node Tiers Summary
Node operators are not paid a fixed per-tier APY. Instead, operators collectively receive 40% of protocol revenue, distributed across tiers via the inner split 30% Oracle / 30% Guardian / 30% Validator / 10% Micro, then scaled by individual TrustFingerprint™ score and contribution. Returns vary with protocol revenue and are not guaranteed.
| Tier | Node Type | $NODR Stake Required | Reward Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Micro Node | 0 $NODR | 10% of the operator pool |
| 2 | Validator Node | 25,000 $NODR | 30% of the operator pool |
| 3 | Guardian Node | 50,000 $NODR | 30% of the operator pool |
| 4 | Oracle Node | 150,000 $NODR | 30% of the operator pool |
The operator pool is 40% of protocol revenue. Per-tier shares above describe how that pool is split across tiers, not an individual APY.
Node Tiers
Tier 1: Micro Nodes
Purpose: Lightweight mesh computing and basic network tasks
Requirements:
- Minimal hardware (consumer-grade)
- Basic internet connection
- Utility NFT ownership
- $NODR Stake: 0 (no staking required)
Rewards: 10% of the node-operator revenue pool (operator pool = 40% of protocol revenue), scaled by TrustFingerprint™
Responsibilities:
- Distributed computing tasks
- Network health monitoring
- Data relay and caching
Tier 2: Validator Nodes
Purpose: Network consensus and transaction validation
Requirements:
- Mid-tier hardware
- Reliable internet connection
- Utility NFT ownership
- $NODR Stake: 25,000 NODR
Rewards: 30% of the node-operator revenue pool (operator pool = 40% of protocol revenue), scaled by TrustFingerprint™
Responsibilities:
- Transaction validation
- Block production
- Network consensus
- State synchronization
Tier 3: Guardian Nodes
Purpose: Security monitoring and emergency response
Requirements:
- High-performance hardware
- Enterprise-grade connectivity
- Application and approval process
- Utility NFT ownership
- $NODR Stake: 50,000 NODR
Rewards: 30% of the node-operator revenue pool (operator pool = 40% of protocol revenue), scaled by TrustFingerprint™
Responsibilities:
- Smart contract monitoring
- Threat detection
- Emergency response coordination
- Security auditing
Tier 4: Oracle Nodes
Purpose: High-performance computation and strategy generation
Requirements:
- Enterprise-grade hardware
- High-bandwidth connectivity
- Election process
- Utility NFT ownership
- $NODR Stake: 150,000 NODR
Rewards: 30% of the node-operator revenue pool (operator pool = 40% of protocol revenue), scaled by TrustFingerprint™
Responsibilities:
- Strategy generation and validation
- Machine learning model execution
- Market data processing
- Performance optimization
Tier Progression
Node operators can progress through tiers by:
- Building TrustFingerprint™ Score: Consistent performance improves reputation
- Upgrading Hardware: Meeting higher tier requirements
- Increasing Stake: Demonstrating commitment to the network
- Applying/Competing: Guardian and Oracle tiers require application or election
Reward Scaling
Rewards scale based on:
- Tier Level: Higher tiers carry a larger share of the operator pool
- TrustFingerprint™ Score: Performance multiplier (0.5x - 2.0x)
- Uptime: Consistent operation increases rewards
- Task Completion: Successful task execution earns bonuses
